When we exercise, for the first 15 mins our body will use our primary source of energy (sugar that stock in liver) which is prepared for normal activities. After first 15 mins, our body will notice that the primary source is not enough so it will transmute carbohydrate into sugar for more energy, therefore we can exercise for another 15 mins. Then, the answer for exercise at least 30 mins is that our body can use reserved energy.
